Age Verification Notice

At Poviko, we believe in doing things with intention — and that principle extends beyond the design of our watches. Where our store carries age-restricted products, we take our responsibilities seriously. This notice explains how we handle age verification, what is expected of our customers, and how applicable laws shape the way we operate.

Minimum Age Requirement

To purchase any age-restricted product — including alcohol — available through Poviko.com, you must be 21 years of age or older. This requirement applies regardless of the country, region, or device from which you place your order.

By proceeding to checkout and completing a purchase of an age-restricted item, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement and that you are legally permitted to purchase such products under the laws of your jurisdiction.

How We Verify Age

At Checkout

When an age-restricted product is added to your cart, you will be prompted to confirm your date of birth and affirm that you are 21 years of age or older before completing your order. This confirmation is a required step — it cannot be bypassed or skipped.

At Delivery

In certain regions, our delivery partners may be required to verify the recipient's age upon delivery. This may include a request for valid, government-issued photographic identification. If satisfactory identification cannot be provided at the point of delivery, the item will not be handed over and the order may be returned.

Account-Level Verification

Where account creation is required or available, we reserve the right to request age verification documentation at any point prior to or following a purchase of an age-restricted item. Failure to provide adequate documentation may result in your order being cancelled or your account being suspended.

Applicable Laws and Regulations

The sale of alcohol is subject to legal regulation across multiple jurisdictions. Relevant frameworks that inform our compliance obligations include, but are not limited to:

  • The Licensing Act 2003 (England and Wales), which governs the sale and supply of alcohol
  • The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario regulations and equivalent provincial frameworks where applicable in Canada
  • The United States Minimum Drinking Age Act and individual state alcohol control regulations, including those requiring a minimum purchase age of 21
  • Local laws and regulations in the customer's country or territory of residence

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure they are legally permitted to purchase and receive alcohol-related products under the laws of their own jurisdiction. Poviko LTD does not accept liability for purchases made in contravention of local law.

Our Right to Refuse Service

Poviko LTD reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or void any order for an age-restricted product at our sole discretion — including where we have reasonable grounds to believe that the minimum age requirement has not been met, that information provided at checkout was inaccurate, or that applicable laws would prohibit the transaction.

We will not process or fulfil orders for age-restricted products placed by, or on behalf of, individuals under the age of 21.

Disclaimer for False Age Claims

By completing a purchase of an age-restricted item, you accept full legal and moral responsibility for the accuracy of the age declaration you have made. Poviko LTD accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, harm, or legal consequence arising from a false or misleading age declaration submitted by a customer. Any individual who knowingly provides false information to circumvent age verification does so entirely at their own risk and may be subject to legal action under applicable law.

Shipping Restrictions

Not all age-restricted products can be shipped to every destination. Certain countries, states, provinces, or territories prohibit or restrict the import, sale, or delivery of alcohol. We do not knowingly ship age-restricted items to regions where such shipments are unlawful.

If your delivery address falls within a restricted zone, your order for an age-restricted item will be cancelled and you will be notified. We ship our watches — including our Women's Watches, Men's Watches, and Gift Watches — worldwide under our standard free shipping policy; however, separate restrictions apply to age-restricted products and those items may not be available at your location.
